I received communication from AMEX that since the merchant XXXX XXXX had already credited me {$1100.00} and since they had credited me {$1500.00} it meant that I had double credited. Which makes no sense since the merchant originally credited me {$1100.00} towards CHARGE 2 and AMEX credited me {$1500.00} towards CHARGE 1.Now If the AMEX is claiming that the credit XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$1100.00} was towards CHARGE 2 is really meant for CHARGE 1 then that means that my original dispute of {$1300.00} for CHARGE 2 was never credited as AMEX had originally claimed and was closed incorrectly. I tried multiple times to get someone from AMEX to understand this issue 1
